Manufacturing Technology Connection a Huge Success
The Butler County Manufacturing Consortium hosted its first public awareness and recruiting event, The Manufacturing Technology Connection in the center court of Clearview Mall, Butler. The event, which was held over the May 5th, 6th and 7th weekend, included participation from member companies Bear Metallurgical Company, CID Associates, Oberg Industries, Penn United Technology, and Unimach Manufacturing. BCMC partner Catalyst Connection also was represented.
The Clearview Mall Manufacturing Technology Connection was advertised in the Butler Eagle with a full page color ad, thanks to PA CareerLink Butler County. Participants had table-top or floor displays which showcased examples of the products and how they impact our world. The three day event allowed representatives from the companies to meet with the public and talk about the technologies used, products produced, career and training opportunities, and how manufacturing affects our everyday lives.
All participants agreed the Manufacturing Technology Connection was a great success and are looking forward to how we can build upon and expand this event for the future.
